Illuminated Signs
01: Channel Letters
Channel letters are individually illuminated letters using materials such as specially colored acrylics or custom vinyl, LED illumination, trim cap, prefinished metal coil, PVC backers and come in depths of 3/8".
Benefits:
A very clean approach to signage that can be customized to suit specific texts, logos and colors.
02: Sign Cabinets / Formed Sign Cabinets
In the case of sign cabinets, this generally means a rectangular or simple shape that has a rigid sign face, common retainer extrusion, sheet metal box and T12 illuminated. For a formed cabinet, most of the materials are the same but it can have a flexible sign face or alternative illumination methods. Mostly vinyl graphics are applied to the face in both cases.
Benefits:
Economical and energy efficient. This is the most common type of illuminated signage.
03: Push Thru Sign Cabinets
A push thru sign product is designed for those instances where the text would be too small to create a channel letters and creating a sign box loses it's effect. When making these signs a metal sheet has lettering cut out of it and a clear acrylic replacement with a small lip is "pushed thru" the opening. This panel is then fastened to a shallow sign box and illuminated. A translucent film can be placed on the face of the acrylic letters to create a channel effect. An opaque vinyl can be placed on the face to create more of a halo lit letter effect.
Benefits:
If a letter is too small to channel, or is too costly to channel a large amount of letters – this option would be the most elegant and clean solution.
04: Halo Lit Signage
Creating a strong visual impact with non-illuminated individual letters is as simple as stud mounting them and concealing a LED light source behind the letters to create a `halo`effect. Halo lit letters create a charming accent in low light interior environments as well as unique night vision of a daytime look in exterior applications.
Benefits:
This application allows you to use dark color letters or logo`s since the light is being reflected off the backer and not coming through the face.
05: Signature Series Illuminated Signage
A well planned and executed sign instantly reflects a business's own unique style and character. With arresting details, creative imagery, and often employing multiple sign making substrates and applications, we call these signs signature signs.
Benefits:
A signature sign provides a significant advertising edge, and often becomes a local landmark in process.
